Free Postcard Template Information

Ordering your postcard or A4 template is easy. Simply fill out the Template Request Form. When choosing a postcard format consider your distribution method. Will you use regular mailing through the post? If so, we will leave sufficient room to place an address label on the back of the postcard. Choosing this format will mean the text on the back of the card may be in a slightly smaller point size to leave sufficient room for an address label. Text will be aligned left, with address space on right.

Alternatively, if you intend to distribute your postcard solely by hand on a neighbourhood walk then there is no requirement for an address section on the back of your card. You might however, want to distribute some cards by hand, and some – perhaps in difficult to reach, or rural locations by post. In that case it would be more beneficial to order the un-addressed format and simply pop cards into addressed envelopes and send by regular post. The addressed back is only available if requesting a professional format template. See below for details.

TEMPLATE FORMATS

You can request your free Template in one of two formats.

1) PROFESSIONAL FORMAT: POSTCARD or A4 LETTERHEAD. When you request professional format all the images are produced at a resolution of 300 dpi.

At this resolution you can take your template to a print shop, or send it to an on-line printer for professional output. A Professional printer will print your template onto sturdy card stock so you can confidently send your card though the post without the need of an envelope. If you intend to send your postcard mailer by regular post we will leave space on the back of the card for an address section.

For A4 Letterhead you can choose from a range of paper offered by our Print Partner, or a print company of your choice.

2) HOME OFFICE PRINT FORMAT. Using this template format you can print the exact quantities of materials you want from your home or office printer.

Because the average home or office printer is not really equipped to print onto thick card stock we have put the full range of postcard template designs into A5 format for printing onto ordinary paper stock so allowing you to print the template from your home or office printer. And this is the format that will be supplied when ordering any postcard design in home/office print. See below for examples.

Your A5 mailer can then be enclosed in an envelope for delivery by regular mail service, or simply distributed door-to-door on a neighbourhood walk. Doing a neighbourhood walk you can get your message into the hands of local residents for pennies.
